HONOLULU – INGAGE. Inc. has announced the following additions to its staff:
Henry Roman has been named Director of New Business Development and will be responsible for sales and project management. He has an impressive background in sales, marketing, and advertising, including sales and training positions in the pharmaceutical industry. He also helped develop a computerized sales tracking system that was eventually adopted by the entire industry. Following this, Roman helped transform an old line business into a dot com, which was sold to the Washington Post. After that, he started and ran a recruitment advertising agency where he successfully licensed a search software he developed to save hospitals money on direct mail costs, which is currently being used a government agency to actively search for terrorists. Roman is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he obtained a degree in Biochemistry and Astronomy. He also completed six years of military service, which included two tours as part of the American Peacekeeping force stationed in Lebanon. A father of three, Roman is active in local politics and his community.
Amy Matsushima has been appointed Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development and will be responsible for the human resources management processes and systems for INGAGE. With more than a decade of experience as a human resources manager in the hospitality industry, Matsushima brings a wealth of knowledge to her position. Prior to joining INGAGE, she held various positions in the human resources division of Outrigger Hotels & Resorts, Hawaii’s largest locally owned hospitality company. While at Outrigger, Matsushima revised the Ho‘ike: New Leadership Transition program and created the Bell Po‘okela Program, a bonus program that relates service levels to portage. Matsushima is a graduate of the University of Hawaii – Manoa, receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration specializing in Travel Industry Management with an emphasis on hotel/restaurant management. She received her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation and is an active member of both the national and Hawaii Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management.
