About Ingage
The practice of mentoring started centuries ago. In every culture and community throughout the world, family and community members turned to their elders out of respect and reverence for their experience and knowledge. Mentoring today is not much different from mentoring hundreds of years ago. In today's business environment, we respect and defer to those more senior than ourselves who we deem to have more knowledge and experience. In organizations, succession planning is an example of passing on knowledge and experience to another; and in business, finding a mentor is one of the most valuable benefits of networking.
Mentoring behaviors and relationships are ingrained in all of us, as they have occurred throughout every stage of our lives. Because we are all familiar with mentoring and have experienced the benefits and value of mentoring to some degree, Ingage saw the opportunity to help facilitate mentoring experiences and connecting individuals anywhere in the world. Founded in 2006, Ingage was established to create business mentoring opportunities and to enhance mentoring relationships using the web.
Ingage strives to be the expert in bringing individuals together and building mentoring relationships that are productive and effective for both the mentor and protégé. To achieve this, Ingage strives to excel in the following areas:
